Golf Retail Assistant

The Retail Assistant works directly with our Merchandiser and is responsible for graciously assisting members and guests in our daily operations. Additionally, the attendant will manage the cleanliness of the shop, maintain an organized inventory, make sales, book tee times, create and maintain visual displays and fulfill general member requests. Of primary importance is excellent member-service and team attitude. 

DUTIES OR FUNCTIONS:

• Assist the Merchandiser in the Golf Retail Operation daily functions. Receiving, managing inventory, displays, etc.
• Provide world class service to Membership and their Guests.
• Carry a highly professional demeanor, be adaptable, flexible and adhere to a strict level of confidentiality.
• Consistently punctual for the beginning of the day and completing tasks.
• Clean and maintain a neat appearance of the retail area and storage areas.
• Assist members in retail inquiries and purchases.
• Assist members in booking tee times and event registrations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess excellent and gracious service attitude.
• Must communicate effectively in English.  Oral, and written skills are required as much communication is done via radio. 
• Excellent team and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess the ability to interact with members and staff on all levels in a professional, positive, and friendly manner.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays is essential.  Flexible to work varying schedules is critical to the success of this position.
• Flexibility to work under frequently changing circumstances.
• Available to work mid-April to mid-November. Potential for flexibility on timeline.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Perform bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing.
• Walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.
• Verbal and listening ability.
• Requires ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings.
• Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
• Driving skills.              

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
