Housekeeper

• Housekeeping as scheduled in assigned areas, which may vary, such as resident rooms, storage rooms, public areas, offices, and service areas, etc., according to department area duties.
• Removal of waste materials from assigned areas.
• Assist in complete deep cleaning of resident rooms and bathrooms when a room becomes vacant.
• Lift/carry cleaning buckets, paper towels, toilet paper, knick knacks, resident personal items, waste baskets, cleaning buckets frequently ranging from 10 to 35 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to perform simple motor skills to press buttons, turn on lights, lock and unlock doors, and open various housekeeping supplies.
• Moderately difficult manipulative skills needed to manipulate furniture in confined spaces, manipulate carts to prevent causing injury to others.
• Hand-eye coordination to perform tasks such as unlocking paper towel boxes, opening spray cleaners, toilet bowl cleaners, mending clothes, etc.
• Mobility needed to squat to pick up items from floor, stand to clean windows, clean lights, getting around and under beds and cleaning various areas, reach above shoulders to clean upper areas of rooms; climbing stairs up to 75% of workday from basement to third floor.
• Concentrate on moderate detail with constant interruption.
• Ability to understand simple directions and specific ideas behind actions.
• Memory capable of remembering task/assignment ranging from a few hours to long periods of time.
