Job Description:

Short Par 4 is looking to hire a skilled Email Marketing Specialist to help manage, track, and optimize our email marketing channel to achieve the growth goals for our brands. The Email Marketing Manager is pivotal in crafting and executing email and SMS campaigns that engage our audience and drive sales. This position oversees the entire customer journey, from developing customer lifecycle strategies to optimizing email flows and analyzing performance metrics. Creative storytelling, design skills, and solid email and SMS marketing expertise will enhance customer engagement and boost retention.


The Email Marketing Specialist works closely with the marketing team and reports to the Vice President of Marketing.



Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, create, and manage the email & sms campaign calendar to ensure timely deployment of email campaigns.
  2. Develop and execute email & sms marketing campaigns, including promotional campaigns aligned with marketing initiatives and seasonal promotions.
  3. Develop and optimize email flows and automation, including basic and advanced series.
  4. Create and set up all on-brand copy, graphic layouts, and email messages, including using HTML design and ensuring optimization for various devices and email clients.
  5. Track and analyze email performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization.
  6. Collaborate closely with the marketing team to integrate email efforts with other digital marketing channels.
  7. Work with the content management team to integrate the entire library of visual assets into on-brand email communications.
  8. Develop and implement customer lifecycle strategies to optimize customer journeys across all brand touchpoints.
  9. Create and manage audience selection, customer segmentation, and targeting strategies to enhance the customer journey.
  10. Plan and manage contact strategies to support cross-lifecycle audience engagement, lead nurturing, show rate, conversion, and retention.
  11. Monitor and maintain email lists, deliverability, and hygiene, managing email sender reputation to maintain a positive relationship with ISPs.
  12. Analyze customer data to identify trends and opportunities for improved engagement.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in email and SMS marketing, preferably in the eCommerce or retail industry.
  • Deep understanding of email and SMS marketing platforms (specifically Klaviyo) and similar tools, including the creation of dynamic content and working with metrics.
  • Excellent written communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for storytelling and creative copywriting.
  • Creative mindset with a strong sense of visual design and aesthetics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making.
  • Ability to prepare clear reports with accurate insights and actionable next steps.
  • Experience performing A/B testing, identifying hypotheses, measuring results, reporting, and advising on future implementations based on learnings.
  • Proficiency with email marketing-related tech tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Litmus/EmailOnAcid, and knowledge of email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
  • Familiarity with email compliance regulations and anti-spam laws.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Keep up with current best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies in email marketing to evaluate new improvements in campaign performance and drive business results.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key vendors, platforms, and technology partners.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and creative skills.
