Position Summary: The Barback/Bar Porter plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the bar by supporting bartenders and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area. This role is vital for creating a seamless guest experience, ensuring the bar is fully stocked, and assisting bartenders during peak service times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stocking and Restocking: Ensure the bar is always fully stocked with necessary supplies, including glassware, garnishes, napkins, straws, ice, and liquor.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness in all bar areas by washing glassware, wiping down counters, cleaning spills, taking out trash, and ensuring all equipment is clean and functional.
- Assisting Bartenders: Support bartenders during service by providing them with ingredients, garnishes, and anything else they need to efficiently serve guests.
- Inventory Management: Assist with counting and organizing inventory, ensuring that all items are correctly stored and rotated for freshness.
- Customer Service: Occasionally interact with guests, answering basic questions, and ensuring they have a pleasant experience.
