Job SummaryThe Journeyman Electrician Foreman oversees daily electrical work on job sites while actively performing installations, maintenance, and repairs. This role combines hands-on electrical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with all codes and standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate the work of journeyman and apprentice electriciansPlan daily work activities and assign tasks based on project prioritiesRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical specificationsInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and controlsEnsure compliance with NEC, local codes, and safety regulationsConduct job-site safety meetings and enforce safety policiesInspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and code complianceCoordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other tradesTrack labor hours, materials, and equipment usageTrain and mentor apprentices and less experienced electriciansIdentify and resolve job-site issues or delaysMaintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environmentQualificationsValid Journeyman Electrician license3 years of commercial, industrial, or residential electrical experiencePrior leadership or foreman experience preferredStrong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codesAbility to read and understand blueprints and technical drawingsExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and make sound decisionsOSHA certification (preferred)Valid driver’s license and reliable transportationPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, climb, kneel, and work in confined spacesComfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
