Commercial Truck Technician

Candidates for this position must have the skills, training, and certifications necessary to be a fully functioning truck mechanic. Truck Mechanics will operate both in the shop and using mobile repair trucks. Candidates must also have tools up to ½', air tools, and impact guns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain STO's standard of professionalism and customer service.
• Determine truck/trailer condition by inspection, diagnostic testing, and identifying worn, damaged parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair work as necessary and keep up with vehicle inspection reports and maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and state vehicle repair requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Consistently maintain 70% Efficiency rating in mechanics.
• Certification from Diesel Mechanic School, or 3 years related experience.
• Must possess own tools including hand tools, impact guns, and other pneumatic tools.
• Valid Driver?s License with Clean driving record.
