Job Overview
This position reports to, assists, and collaborates with the Vice President of Hospital Operations on executive-level presentations, special projects, project management, tracking key operational metrics, and other initiatives as they pertain to operations. Functional system level departments in Hospital Operations include Building Operations, Facilities and Construction Management, Information Systems, International Strategy and Operations, Orthotics and Prosthetics, Supply Chain Management, and Telehealth. The Manager will establish trusting relationships and collaborate with system and facility leadership as well as governance committees supported by the Vice President, Hospital Operations.
This position is based on Tampa Bay, Florida. Candidates will work on site and remotely on a weekly basis.
Responsibilities
- Manage the development of capital and operating fiscal budgets across 25 cost centers
- Provide budgetary oversight and guidance to achieve financial operating targets and align forecasts with annual objectives
- Prepare financial impact analysis and departmental budget reconciliation
- Participate as an integral component in the enterprise-wide RFI/RFP procurement process
- Identifies and spearheads initiatives which deliver incremental and sustainable cost savings opportunities
- Operates as project manager for key activities and projects which directly align with the strategic short and long term goals set forth by Leadership
- Preparing agenda, minutes, and presentation materials for Committee and Joint Boards Meetings
- Supports development of annual system capital plan
- Represents Hospital Operations Division in working with other system-level divisions including Finance and Accounting, Business and Planning Development, Medical Affairs, and Research
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills as well as creative problem-solving and decision-making
Qualifications
Required:
5 years of progressive healthcare experience
Master's Degree in a related field is required
Preferred:
5 years of reporting, consolidation and financial analysis experience
Advanced knowledge of MS Office
Product and contract management experience
Supply Chain Management (SCM) system experience (Lawson, SAP, PeopleSoft, etc)
