Samaritan Health Services (OR), a non-profit integrated health care delivery system, is seeking a casual Hospice Physician to join our Samaritan Evergreen Hospice team in Albany, Oregon.
Samaritan Health Services is looking for a Casual MD or DO to join our team at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice in Albany, Oregon. Samaritan Evergreen Hospice supports patients and their families in end of life care through a holistic and collaborative model. Samaritan Evergreen Hospice serves patients in the mid- valley and coast including surrounding communities in Benton, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Polk and Tillamook counties. Samaritan Evergreen Hospice operates one of three hospice houses in the state in a 12-bed in-patient facility serving patients who need acute symptom management.
Job Specifics
- Casual Hospice Physician
- Day shift and on call/occasional weekend’s
- 2-4, 24-48hr call shifts per month
- One shift per month on-site
- Cover call for both valley sites as well as coastal communities
- Answer calls from outpatient staff with clinical concerns (10-20 calls per shift)
- Round on Hospice House patients
- Assist with Overs for death certificates
- Face to Face visits in the field
- Potential consults at SAGH for complex patients
Job Requirements
- Board certified
- Should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented.
- Eligibility to work in the United States
