The Role: As the Category Manager, MRO, reporting to the Sr. Category Manager - MRO, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing strategic and tactical plans NAM MRO and indirect services to support our manufacturing operations in a way that continuously improves supply quality, service, availability, and total cost ownership/management.

Essential Functions And Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies that create long term value and drive its implementation to that value
- Build a fact-based category analysis that provides relevant insights on the market, suppliers, and internal landscape
- Lay out strategic goals / ambitions and identify relevant procurement value levers
- Generate strategic options and translate the preferred one(s) into a yearly action plan aligned with stakeholders
- Follow-up strategy implementation, measure category performance and communicate to category stakeholders
- Ensure alignment of RFx initiatives with category strategy
- Formulate and submit for approval the final proposal for awarding the business to VP Procurement
- Establish contractual document involving Procurement Legal Business Partner and any other relevant stakeholders
- Communicate RFx outcomes to internal stakeholders (supplier awarded, new commercial terms / price list…) & implement the agreements
- Responsible for managing the overall business relationships with suppliers
- Lead supplier segmentation process
- Monitor supplier performance and define corrective actions when appropriate
- Define and lead cooperation initiatives with strategic suppliers
- Accountable for creating transparency on the category saving performance in compliance with the Group saving convention
- Track actual category performance Vs Target, and identify corrective actions when needed
- Communicate performance to line manager and category stakeholders
- Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure procurement impacts are built into budgets and the annual plan
- Lead category cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with stakeholders’ priorities and get their buy-in
- Manage project portfolio, review progress, and remove roadblocks together with cross-functional teams
- Keep business stakeholders updated on most relevant evolution, trends and major events affecting A-M suppliers or competitors
- Collect insights from the businesses or functions and share with relevant Procurement team(s)
- Evaluate supplier risk according to the established risk management framework
- Identify, lead risk mitigation actions, and monitor progress of implementation
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 7 years procurement experience, demonstrated career progression a plus
- Material & Service experience with petrochemical environment
- Experience working in matrix organization
- Knowledge of MRO/Indirect space
- Master of Microsoft Excel, PPT and SAP
