Currently, we are seeking a qualified Training Coordinator to work collaboratively with our sawmill in Aberdeen, Washington .

About The Position
- Provide training, mentoring, and coaching for newly hired crew members in a safe, efficient, and responsible manner
- Be the welcoming face and voice of Sierra Pacific to new crew members while maintaining a professional and supportive atmosphere
- Demonstrate a commitment to build a successful new hire program, focusing heavily on new hire safety and skills training to build an engaged and skilled workforce and retain quality individuals
- Support new crew members in their learning processes, providing the necessary tools and resources for success from their first day on the job
- Effectively familiarize each new hire with the manufacturing environment and job responsibilities, leading by example, and demonstrating a culture of safety excellence
- Assess skill level of new hires, identifying each individual's particular learning style in order to provide effective training and coaching
- Provide each crew member constructive feedback and clear communication of expectations and progress on a regular basis
- Effectively and appropriately communicate regularly with new hires, trainees, supervisors, and management of crew member progress
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead others by example
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication
- Familiarity with a sawmill layout, operational procedures, and equipment to successfully train new crew members
- Proven commitment to safety excellence and Company policy
- Working knowledge of basic computer programs, including Word and Outlook
