Join our Sierra Ranch Veterinary Clinic Team! We are seeking a part time kennel/veterinary assistant to join our team. We are looking for applicants willing to work in a team setting with a positive attitude and flexible schedule. A strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and attention to detail are a must. We take pride in our high quality medicine and the care we provide to our patients. You must have some veterinary experience.
Skills include:
- Good organizational skills
- Time Management
- Cleanliness
- General product knowledge: flea and heartworm preventatives, medications, etc.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Strong animal handling skills
- the ability to carry a fast paced and changing work load which at times can be stressful.
Ability to perform:
- Daily care of patients boarding with us
- TPR, understands signalments.
- Self-motivated
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to read and understand medical terminology a plus
- Pharmacology knowledge a plus
- Vaccine knowledge and administration a plus
- Ability to lift patients up to 50 lbs.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting doctors and technicians with medical care of patients
- Technician appointments (nail trims, anal glands, vaccinations)
- Cleaning cages and kennels
- Walking and feeding patients
- Cleaning of the hospital and equipment
- Stocking supplies
- Preparing surgical packs
Some veterinary experience is a must

Pay: From $16.00 -$18 per hour
