The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician completes all assignments to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and facilities.

• What you will be doing:
• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment and the facility.
• Maintaining equipment through preventative maintenance.
• Installing new and/or relocating presses and equipment.
• Maintaining computer programs for record keeping and audits.
• Working closely with other employees to understand the problems they are having with their assigned equipment.
• Making minor repairs and modifications to the facilities and electrical system.
• Consulting with and advising management on major repair and modifications to the facilities electrical system.
• As required, providing instruction and training to apprentices, trainees and employees.
• Ordering supplies as needed.
• Following safe work practices and keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Performing related duties as assigned.
• Maintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures
  
  

Requirements

What you will bring to the team:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with team.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman papers or 5 years previous experience
  
  

Preferred Competencies

• Must possess good machining skills
• Welding experience preferred
• Must possess strong electrical knowledge of AC and DC currents
• Must have the ability to read wire diagrams
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Must have a good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
