The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician completes all assignments to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- What you will be doing:
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment and the facility.
- Maintaining equipment through preventative maintenance.
- Installing new and/or relocating presses and equipment.
- Maintaining computer programs for record keeping and audits.
- Working closely with other employees to understand the problems they are having with their assigned equipment.
- Making minor repairs and modifications to the facilities and electrical system.
- Consulting with and advising management on major repair and modifications to the facilities electrical system.
- As required, providing instruction and training to apprentices, trainees and employees.
- Ordering supplies as needed.
- Following safe work practices and keeping the work area clean and organized.
- Performing related duties as assigned.
- Maintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures
What you will bring to the team:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with team.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman papers or 5 years previous experience
- Must possess good machining skills
- Welding experience preferred
- Must possess strong electrical knowledge of AC and DC currents
- Must have the ability to read wire diagrams
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Must have a good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
