Job Summary
The MRO Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities related to maintenance, repair, and overhaul of equipment and assets. This role ensures the availability of critical spare parts and services, maintains vendor relationships, and supports maintenance operations to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. The ideal candidate has a strong background in procurement, inventory management, and equipment maintenance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee MRO inventory, including ordering, receiving, tracking, and stocking spare parts and tools.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to identify and fulfill part requirements for scheduled and unscheduled repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities using a CMMS or similar system.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effective, and timely delivery of MRO materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to reduce excess while avoiding shortages.
  • Assist in developing preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to equipment and materials handling.
  • Generate and analyze MRO-related reports (e.g., cost tracking, vendor performance, inventory usage).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance practices and inventory control.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, or related field
  • 2 years of experience in an MRO, maintenance planning, or procurement role (industry-specific experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of maintenance and reliability practices, inventory systems, and vendor management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS software (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Infor, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular exposure to manufacturing or shop floor environments.
  • Occasional travel to vendor or other company sites (if applicable).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.08 - $25.39 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
