What are the responsibilities and job description for the Color Lab Technician position at Sika Corporation?
The Color Matching Technician works independently but must be willing to take direction as needed. He/she has full knowledge of all Parex USA products and procedures involved with samples production.
Acrylic sample production Skills:
- Match colors and create samples
- Input color formulas into the Colibri color system
- Prepare sample shipments for CWC and deliveries
- Inventory lab supplies products
- Coordinate / Fulfill sample requests with department team
- Become an expert in acrylic products applications
Preferred Skills:
- Color matching experience (Paint industry) a plus
- Hand eye coordination
- Must have strong attention to detail and be multi-task oriented.
- Ability to stand and lift heavy objects.
- Ability to visibly distinguish colors-Cannot be color blind.
- Weighing of all materials prior to blending requirement in blenders. Materials include: pigment, sand, additives specific to fog coat
