Machine Operator Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring proper inspection and packing of product. This position works in the Production Department, reporting to the Production Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor automated packing process, providing manual intervention when needed
- Inspect full boxes of finished product for quality
- Assemble boxes for filling with finished product
- Keep downstream packing equipment running and supplied with boxes to be filled
- Seal, label, load boxes onto elevator
- Maintain organized and clean workstations and common area
- Other duties as assigned
Education/ Previous Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read shipping lables
- Ability to identify defects in finished product
- Good color acuity
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to learn, grow and adapt to changing business needs
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 25 pounds frequently, 27 pounds occasionally and ability to be actively moving for the majority of any shift
- Use of Personal protective equipment on the production floor (PPE)
- Physical requirements include but not limited to standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, crouching, color determination and grasping.
