MS English Teacher

Description:

• Possesses outstanding interpersonal, oral, writing and technology skills, as well as mastery of content in these subjects.

• Able to collaborate with teachers and partner with parents.

• Able to disciple and mentor high school students.

• Able to integrate biblical truths and a biblical worldview in the teaching of English.  

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate teaching excellence in the subject matter.

• Demonstrate sound classroom management skills.

• Cultivate a positive learning environment.

• Support ideas and policies of the Administration.

• Demonstrate content knowledge and oral mastery of the subject matter.

• Integrate with project based-learning assessments. 

• Integrate appropriate technology to make student learning engaging, collaborative and interactive. 

• Provided differentiated learning opportunities within the classroom.

• Update grades in a timely manner.

• Sponsor and organize a J-term course (a 3-day experiential learning course). 

• Communicate well with parents and keep them informed of the student’s progress.

Degree Endorsements:
Bachelors in English or Masters in English (preferred)

Additional Information:

• Willingness to sponsor extra-curricular activities/clubs or able to coach an athletic team.

• Willingness to obtain an ACSI teaching certification.
