Job Summary:
Perform a variety of administrative and clerical functions including verifying accuracy of vehicle, service, and parts transactions and posting or adjusting the general ledger accordingly. Prepare weekly payroll with information provided, and process via third party payroll website.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Office Manager has direct supervisor over the title clerks and office staff. Supervisory responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing and making hiring recommendations; conducting performance evaluations and administering disciplinary actions regarding unsatifactory employees.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to three years of bookkeeping/accounting experience required
- Previous dealership experience desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to process computer data and to format and generate spreadsheets and reports to measure and illustrate routine financial reports, statements and projections
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures
- Ability to send/receive e-mail messages, post information to a database or spreadsheet, and perform basic word processing, bookkeeping, and/or data entry.
- Skill in organizing and establishing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Ability to compute rate, check, count, and verify numbers.
- Must have strong skills in organization and planning
- Ability to supervise and train employees
- Have discretion of company information and/or staff personal information.
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
- Close mental and visual attention required to perform work dealing primarily with preparing, analyzing, and interpreting data and figures, using a computer terminal, and/or extensive reading.
Equipment Used:
- Computer, printer, telephone, photocopier, fax machine, scanner, calculator, adding machine, and postage meter.
- Computer Software: Microsoft Outlook and Word.
Environmental Conditions:
- Work is performed in a typical office environment where there is no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
