In addition, the Center developed Moriah Media to produce theatrical documentaries to educate global audiences. Moriah has produced 17 documentaries to date, two of which have received the Academy Award for best feature documentary, The Long Way Home and Genocide.
About the role:
The Museum of Tolerance is seeking an experienced Exhibition Coordinator for a media-driven exhibition on antisemitism. This 10,000 square foot exhibition will explore the manifestations and impact of antisemitism, offering visitors a deep and nuanced understanding of the subject. The successful candidate will have administrative experience and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
The Exhibition Coordinator will support the exhibition team by coordinating logistics, maintaining schedules, tracking deliverables, and facilitating communication among internal departments and external partners. This position requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion.
Key responsibilities include preparing and processing contracts and agreements, submitting and tracking invoices, managing digital and physical filing systems, organizing meetings, and maintaining accurate records of project milestones and expenditures. The Exhibition Coordinator will also be expected to support procurement processes and ensure that documentation complies with institutional and grant-related requirements.
This position reports to the Senior Project Manager and is based in Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities:
Exhibition Planning:
- Serve as a liaison between guest curators and Simon Wiesenthal Center staff, facilitating the exhibition process by managing and maintaining the exhibition and relaying protocols and timelines.
- Coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Circulate materials for review by Staff, Guest Curator, and additional stakeholders.
- Assist with the Curatorial contributions to the exhibition object list, tracking any changes and communicating information to the Exhibition team.
- Work with Staff and Guest Curator to research and verify all information for exhibitions.
Qualifications
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong administrative technology skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive) and collaboration platforms such as Zoom.
- Experienced using Excel for budget management, expense tracking, and financial reconciliation
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Adaptable and resourceful in the face of changing priorities; maintains a calm, solutions-focused approach.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in a high-level and complex administrative support role
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Interest and/or experience in exhibitions, museums, or non-profit management preferred.
