We are a 35 doctor AAHA accredited veterinary practice located west of Cleveland in North Ridgeville. Do you love to work in the lab performing laboratory analyses and tests, preparing urine, fecal and blood samples, set up instruments, run tests, read and interprets results, and perform a variety of customer service activities for internal and external customers? We are seeking a full-time RVT lab technician preferably or an experienced assistant with a minimum of 1 year veterinary lab experience for second shift afternoon / evening coverage Mon-Fri and rotate Saturdays with alternate day off. We have a state of the art 36,000 sq ft facility. Our practice offers a full in house lab, and an excellent support team and more.
Must be organized with ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, attention to detail, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, a positive, can do attitude, highly motivated to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
Conduct blood sampling and laboratory tests to assist in diagnosing animal health issues.
Utilize veterinary terminology and animal anatomy knowledge to provide accurate assessments.
Handle and restrain animals safely during procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure cleanliness to uphold safety standards.
Communicate effectively with veterinary staff and pet owners regarding care and treatment plans.
