Reimbursement Analyst
Lingle Building in Gautier | Full-Time | Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)
Position Overview The Reimbursement Analyst is
responsible for understanding and providing in-depth analysis of every aspect
of payor reimbursement for the organization. He/She will maintain all of the organization’s payor contracts in Epic
and provide analysis to the Director to assist in contract negotiations. He/She will be responsible for identifying
situations where opportunities exist for the organization to make changes that
will maximize reimbursement.

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university,
preferably in finance, business, or healthcare
Requirement to obtain Epic Hospital Billing Expected
Reimbursement Contracts Administration certification within 3 months of hire
date.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare revenue cycle
analyst role. Experience with Epic Resolute
Hospital Billing software is preferred.
Work involves using many physical motions in performing daily
work activities; subject to exposure of body fluids, sputum and tissues, which
may carry the hazard of infectious disease.
Work involves using repetitive motions: substantial movements of the wrists,
hands, and/or fingers while operating standard office equipment such as
computer keyboard. Must be able to be
active for extended periods of time without experiencing undue fatigue.
Work involves being able to perceive the nature of sounds at normal
speaking levels, with or without correction.
Must demonstrate the ability to communicate, speak, and enunciate to
express/exchange ideas and detailed information in person and on the
telephone. Work requires a minimum
standard of visual acuity, with or without correction, with the ability to
adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus, i.e. shift gaze from
viewing a computer monitor to forms that are closer to compare data at close
vision.
Must demonstrate keen mental faculties/assessment and decision
making skills in the management of financial responsibilities, staff, and/or
patients. Must possess emotional
stability conducive to dealing with high stress levels associated in dealing with
employee issues and demands of maintaining effective working relationships
with peers, staff, manager, physicians, and other healthcare associates.
Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in complex
situations is required. Must
demonstrate the ability to solve problems independently and as part of a
team. Must have strong analytical and
interpersonal skills. Must be able to
understand the flow of financial and statistical information. Must have in-depth knowledge of healthcare
reform and the potential impact (financial, operational, competitive, etc.) of
reform on healthcare providers, payers, and consumers.
Work requires the ability to function independently, adapt to
workload demands, set priorities, understand and set goals. Must possess highly developed organizational,
planning and management skills; must demonstrate excellent oral communication
skills. Work requires the ability to
create and maintain a collaborative work environment. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills in
using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Work requires traveling throughout Singing River service area
with the employee providing his/her own transportation. Must have a valid drivers’ license.
