What you'll be doing in this role...
As a member of the Retail Team, the Retail Sales Specialist will work with leadership to carry out the daily activities of the Farm Store including engaging with guests and providing timely correspondence when needed, executing onsite and pickup sales, and maintaining a clean presentation of SingleThread Farms products.
As a member of the Retail Team, the Retail Sales Specialist will work with leadership to carry out the daily activities of the Farm Store including engaging with guests and providing timely correspondence when needed, executing onsite and pickup sales, and maintaining a clean presentation of SingleThread Farms products.
- Assist with the execution of the guest retail experience
- Assist with the execution of farm tours, workshops, and CSA programming
- Represent the SingleThread service standards in guest interaction
- Possess a detailed knowledge of products, producers, company history, and farming practices
- Maintain stock levels of all items through restocking
- Assist patrons in CSA box pickups
- Create rapport with guests and potential guests
- Align personal style and execution with SingleThread’s culture of elevated hospitality and ethos of professionalism
- Adhere to facility dress code on brand with company style
- Answer inquiries and assist guests in a timely manner, elevate questions to leadership as needed
- Facilitate purchases via SpotOn
- Communicate with Farm and Floral Leadership on trends and forecast needs
- Communicate with Retail Leadership on inventory and ordering needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy workspace
- Maintain, clean and restock the guest bathrooms daily
- Performs other duties as assigned and based upon business needs
In an ideal world, you have:
- Relevant experience in high end hospitality and/or retail sales
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize time and meet deadlines under time constraints
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Slack, OpenTable, Tock, or similar programs.
- Knowledge of food terminology (training will be provided as necessary)
- Flexibility and initiative

- Ability to work collaboratively across the organization
- Varying schedule to include weekends, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with federal, state, and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, climb stairs and steps, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment
