JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Sales Associate
Reports to: Vice President / General Manager
Date: January 2025
Overview: The Sioux City Explorers are looking for a high energy, hard-working, success driven individual to be a key contributor to our Ticket Sales efforts in 2025 and beyond. With a great ballpark and great community this is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to get into the sports industry and make an immediate impact with an up-and-coming organization
Position Summary: Individual will actively prospect and sell season tickets, flex packs and all group/hospitality packages for the Sioux City Explorers, while also helping out in other areas of the operation as needed to continue growing the Explorers brand while continually working to provide a great experience for our fans.
Essential Functions:
1. The desire and work ethic to succeed in Ticket Sales for the Sioux City Explorers
2. Sell new season tickets, mini plans and group ticket packages through cold-calls and face to face meetings
3. Focused sales effort on selling directly to local businesses
4. Prospect new customers and qualify leads
5. Fulfill and maintain an assigned standard in personal sales efforts.
6. Provide superior customer service to new and existing accounts.
7. Use creativity to develop new ways to boost the attendance of the team
8. Completion of daily and weekly sales effort reports.
9. Represent the team in a professional manner throughout the community
10. Be willing to help with other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. College degree (or equivalent work experience)
2. 1 years of sales experience in event sales or equivalent
3. Desire to learn and grow your career in the sports industry
4. Experience and a desire to excel in sales.
5. Ability to work with aggressive sales goals and expectations in a fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to maintain a professional business image.
This is a full-time, year round position and includes working all 50 home Explorers games
