We are a fast-paced, high-volume printing, signs and embroidery shop looking for an experienced Embroidery Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, understands the nuances of different fabrics, and can manage multiple heads/machines simultaneously while maintaining top-tier quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate multi-head industrial embroidery machines (e.g., SWF, Tajima, Barudan, or Melco).
- Job Prep: Select proper hoops, stabilizers (backing), and thread colors based on garment type and design requirements.
- Quality Control: Monitor stitching for thread breaks, birdnesting, or alignment issues; perform "trim and fold" finishing as needed.
- Maintenance: Perform basic machine maintenance, including oiling and needle changes.
- Production Goals: Maintain a steady pace to meet daily deadlines in a busy shop environment.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional embroidery experience in a commercial/shop setting.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of tensioning, hooping techniques for various apparel (hats, polos, jackets), and thread types.
- Detail Oriented: Ability to catch small defects and ensure every piece matches the approved sample.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts and perform repetitive tasks in a production environment.
- Experience with digitizing software (Wilcom, Pulse, etc.).
- Knowledge of heat press application, DTF or screen printing.
