Position Summary Through home visits, provide counseling, case management, life skills education, and other voluntary supportive services for domestic violence victims to help them acquire permanent housing, integrate into the community, and secure employment.
Responsibilities
· Outreach to inform intimate partner violence survivors of this program
· Assist intimate partner survivors in obtaining safe, secure, permanent, scattered site housing
· Assist clients in conducting a needs and strengths analysis and in writing Individual Service
· Plans with goals, objectives, and timeline for achievement
· Provide case management services, make referrals, act as an advocate for clients, and facilitate program participants’ access to community resources including vocational
· Counsel women in groups, individually and with their children around parenting and family issues relevant to each family; provide crisis prevention and intervention, as needed
· Provide early intervention and direct counseling services with children in the housing
· Encourage and foster independence and self-sufficiency as program participants complete
· Train and supervise volunteers for the program
· Complete required notes, case summaries, intake forms, service plans, exit evaluations,
· Input direct service and collateral time into database management system
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
· Case management experience
· Understanding of intimate partner violence
· Valid driver’s license
· Ability to pass pre-employment backgrounds
· MS Office, including Excel
· Intake experience
· Section 8 housing knowledge preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
