Position Overview
As a part of our dedicated team, the Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for ensuring that all company-owned equipment and attachments are maintained at adequate levels needed to meet production/distribution demand. Responsibilities include but are not limited to oil changes, diagnostics and evaluation of mechanical problems, maintenance and upkeep of the shop area, parts ordering/organization, and the recording of maintenance tasks performed.
What you’ll do:
- Perform services and repairs to company-owned equipment and vehicles in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
- Complete paperwork pertaining to maintenance of equipment and vehicles in a timely manner.
- Research, order, and maintain parts inventory for services and repairs.

Skills We Are Seeking
- Experience in diesel engine repairs and/or heavy equipment repairs (rubber tire wheel loaders, track loaders, excavators, dozers, grinders, and other land clearing equipment)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
- Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines and achieve desired goals
- Welding Certification is a plus but not required
- Must be capable of lifting up to 65 lbs
- Must have valid Driver’s License
- Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, snow, rain, etc. with limited air conditioning
- Must be willing to work Saturdays
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed, especially during Peak Season of February-May
