Bilingual Safety Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to implement and enforce safety policies and procedures on our sites to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with project teams to promote a strong culture of safety and risk prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain site-specific safety plans and programs.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits and risk assessments
• Identify unsafe conditions or behaviors and discuss corrective actions with senior management.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; prepare detailed reports
• Conduct toolbox talks and ongoing safety training
• Maintain safety documents, logs, permits and compliance records.
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors and subcontractors to enforce safety standards
• Review PTP, confined space permits, etc.
• Monitor use of personal PPE and safety equipment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety related concerns onsite.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Bilingual speaking (Spanish) (Required)
• 3 years of construction safety experience (preferred)
• OSHA 30-hour certification (OSHA 500/501 preferred)
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to conduct training in large groups.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the range of heavy equipment in our industry.
• Ability to travel to jobsites as required to conduct safety duties.
