What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Loan Originator position at SIU Credit Union?
SIU Credit Union is a financial institution that is for people, not for profit. We are a strong and growing credit union doing business in 24 southern Illinois counties with offices in Carbondale, Marion, Energy, Harrisburg and Metropolis.
We are currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to deliver outstanding service to our members and the community.
What you'll do
- Connect with prospective borrowers by quoting rates, explaining programs, taking applications, and counseling for future qualification.
- Process real estate loans from start to finish including approval, processing, documentation, preparation, closing and disbursal.
- Keep informed of industry trends, standards, and regulations.
What we're looking for:
- High school diploma
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with loan documents and general ledgers
- Must be bondable and eligible to register with NMLS
