What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fright Fest Make-up Artist position at Six Flags Theme Parks?
Our monsters and zombies won’t find it hard to stay in character once you’ve done their make-up and special effects! You’ll bring the chills to life as you transform our team, and put the fright in frightening. Whether it’s a zombie, a ghoul, or a creature from the part of the water park we forgot to drain, your talent will bring our guest experience over the edge!

You’ll contribute to our mission by:
- Supporting the Six Flags Mantra – Friendly, Clean, Fast, and Safe Service
- Executing make-up and special effects for mid-way characters, performers, and other various roles
- Learning the various roles in our Haunted Attractions, Midway Haunts and our Shows so they can apply the correct style of make-up
You’ll do it with your:
- Previous experience in makeup application
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety
- Ability to interact in a professional and positive manner
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Sense of fun
- Friendly, outgoing personality, and ability to address guest concerns
- Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language
You’ll know you’re ready if you are:
- Willing to work in a high performance team environment
- Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, including walking long distances, standing for long periods of time, lifting, working at heights, etc.
- 18 years old or older
- Able to successfully complete pre-employment background and drug screenings
