E01Position Summary
This position performs specialized duties in the management and coordination of San Juan College Foundation development programs and activities.MAJOR DUTIES
- Manages Foundation communications activities; designs and produces publications for fundraising and public relations campaigns; creates presentation materials; manages the Foundation website.
- Develops publicity and communications plans; coordinates the direct mail campaign; manages and develops the employee campaign; maintains donor database.
- Plans, arranges, and coordinates SJCF special events; develops timelines and schedules; maintains related records; designs, prints and sends invitations; attends San Juan College Foundation events as needed.
- Greets students, faculty, staff and donors in person and by telephone; provides information and assistance; takes messages; directs to appropriate personnel.
- Performs research and gathers data for benchmarking and decision-making purposes.
- Prepares and/or contributes to the preparation of reports, proposals, briefings, and presentations for the Executive Director of the Foundation.
- Responsible for the planning, development, management and implementation of special events, fundraisers or projects. Expected to perform these duties with a high-degree of independence, initiative, and judgement.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The Executive Director of the Foundation assigns work in terms of general instructions. The supervisor spot-checks completed work for compliance with procedures, accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results.
GUIDELINES
Guidelines include the Foundation Board Manual, scholarship requirements, and college and program policies and procedures. These guidelines require judgment, selection, and interpretation in application.
COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK
- The work consists of varied specialized duties. Strict deadlines contribute to the complexity of the position.
- The purpose of this position is to perform specialized duties in support of San Juan College Foundation operations. Success in this position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of those operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/ internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
