What you will do:
As our Manufacturing Engineer, you will work with multiple departments to devise, implement and continuously improve standardized manufacturing processes and equipment to meet organizational and customer requirements involving safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will create the manufacturing processes to help make our products that help control and monitor one of the world’s most valuable and limited resources – Water! This position works in our Detroit Lakes, MN location.
The job:
Every day, your primary role will be hands-on while working on continuous improvement projects and assisting with innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges which may vary from completely manual operations to fully automated machinery. You will then develop and implement these solutions into production either by designing and building them in house or by specifying and procuring solutions through outside vendors. You will ensure work instructions and routings are up-to-date and work with production on equipment and processes for new products.
The skills you need:
To succeed in this role, you must have knowledge in mechanical design, solid modeling, and Lean manufacturing along with key soft skills which include team collaboration, oral and written communication, organization, time management, and prioritization skills. You must have experience working with hand and power tools. Experience in CNC programming and PCA production support are preferred. A 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred with 1-2 years of experience.
