Senior Nurse Manager
Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Nurse Manager for a very successful and very busy Federally Qualified Health Center in Southern New Jersey. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic leader with the ability to teach, motivate and inspire our primary care nursing staff. The ideal candidate is someone who will embrace our mission to remove barriers to health care and to provide high quality care to underserved, uninsured and underprivileged populations.
Summary: The Senior Nurse Manager of Atlantic County is
responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of
nursing staff and services provided to patients in our community
health centers. The Senior Nurse Manager ensures that quality care is
provided in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
and in a culturally sensitive manner.
Position Responsibilities/Duties:
* Develops and maintains written objectives, philosophy,
organizational plan and evaluation plan for nursing services; assists
in the development of patient care policies
* Ensures nursing
department is compliant with federal, state and local
regulations
* Serves as a clinical leader in various projects and
forums
* Assist with supervision of RNs, LPNs and CMAs; develops
and monitors performance plans; monitors and evaluates nursing
activities and takes corrective action where needed
* Helps
facilitate integration of nursing services with other patient care
services in the facility, and ensures nursing staff patterns are
implemented
* Assists in the recruitment, development and
orientation of nursing staff
* Identifies educational and
clinical needs of the nursing staff and schedules in-services to
address them
* Organizes and facilitates regular meetings of
nursing department
* Ensures care of patients through health
promotion, maintenance, restoration and prevention of infection,
accident and injury; Monitors quality and appropriateness of patient
care
* Provides nursing care services as needed, including but
not limited to administering medications; assesses patient’s response
to treatment and nursing care
* Promotes the role of the patient
and practice within a Patient Centered Medical Home
* Serves as
an agent for change by constantly seeking opportunities to shape the
environment in support of SJFMC’s mission, and facilitates change by
providing direction and support.
