What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Planner position at SK pharmteco?
Primary function of this job is to plan and coordinate maintenance work and activities within the Maintenance Department and with other Departments at the Rancho Cordova, CA Facility. This will be accomplished by detailed planning, parts coordination, and scheduling. In addition, this position may coordinate or generate department improvement projects. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager. Works under general direction. This position is not remote or hybrid.

- Assists with coordination of workflow for process lines and supporting areas’ Periodic Maintenance (PM) and requested repairs. Supports communication between maintenance department and Process Engineers, Operations dept, and/or area Managers. Helps generate weekly PM schedules.
- Provides supports to Maintenance Supervisors in coordinating Preventative Maintenance and Projects with Union Labor and requester of work.
- Supports CMMS usage and helps generates reports for PM completion and labor utilization.
- Assists in organizing each process line changeover workflow and provides regular updates on changeover activity and status.
- Helps set schedules and agreed to do lists with agreement from PE, Ops, and Management.
- May require adding spare part information, printing of reports, open/close work orders.
- Supports the review and closure of work orders under supervisor guidance.
- Helps monitor and update the backlog of the CMMS, including, as necessary, providing feedback to requesting parties the status of the WO.
- Assis with tracking and reporting inventory for critical spare parts.
- Works with the MRO group to process PM work order parts kitting for the technicians.
- Provides general support to technician to ensure they get parts or materials in a timely manner.
- Assist in identifying and ordering materials for Planned PM work orders.
- Support engineering to ensure parts on hand meet current specifications. Participate in development of specifications.
- Coordinates basic logistics for offsite equipment repair and rebuild under direction.
- May assist with contract coordination including writing of scope documents, making sketches or drawings, conducting job walks, writing of requisitions, and conducting safety audits/training.
- May help with organizing team meetings to organize people and/or projects completing maintenance and changeover tasks.
- Provides general support to maintenance management team outside normal role when needed.
- 3-5 years of related experience; and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in an appropriate discipline relating to Maintenance Department work; and
- Must have a general knowledge of Maintenance department parts, workflow, and scheduling techniques.
- Basic interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interface with all levels of personnel.
- Maintains a positive attitude pertaining to completing tasks and customer interactions.
- Clear written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to help plan organize and execute various tasks.
- Familiarity with reading drawings such as P&;ID, Electrical one lines, hydraulic, HVAC and specifications.
- Working knowledge of computers including basic use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Project.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work in environment which include areas where chemical materials are encountered. May involve exposure to shop environment including variable noise levels.
- Must have a high consciousness for personnel and equipment safety. May be required to utilize variety of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to follow the direction Maintenance Manager to complete required assignments in support of the Maintenance Department.
- Work weekends and off shifts as needed.
