What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Counselor position at Skateland Fun Center?
Responsibilities:
-Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn. We provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, and parent relationships are fostered.
-Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children's latest adventures and achivements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
-Watch and manage children in a skating rink environment. This includes overseeing the arrival of students, dismisal, attendance, snack, and daily activities.
Qualifications:
-Must have a highschool diploma or GED.
- Experience working with children in any field.
- Knowledge of early childhood education, first aid, classroom management, babysitting, experience with children, or special education is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population of children, parents, and staff members.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
