What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ski and Ride School Supervisor position at Ski Windham?
Overview of Position: A Ski and Ride School Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the ski and snowboard lesson experience. Daily job duties include ensuring an organized and efficient meeting place, appropriately matching guests with other students and instructors, monitoring lessons, delivering feedback to instructors, resolving guest concerns, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, and working within approved budgetary guidelines. The supervisor will collaborate with their peers and the Ski and Ride School Manager to ensure staffing and scheduling needs are met, accurate records of lessons taught are managed, and all facilities are well-kept and orderly. This position is guest-facing; strong people and communication skills are essential, and requires time on-snow, outdoors in the base area, and some administrative functions.

q Organize, assign, and monitor the delivery of ski and snowboard lessons in a manner that serves the needs of the guests and employees effectively
q Monitor delivery of lessons to ensure appropriate teaching methods are utilized and provide timely and accurate feedback to instructors to ensure a quality lesson product and the best possible guest experience
q Ensure instructors are able to prioritize safety, fun, and learning in their lessons through on-hill supervision, coaching, and support
q Consistently demonstrate strong leadership skills that create and sustain alignment with department and organizational vision and goals
q Ensure there is consistent accountability to our policies and procedures, particularly as they relate to guest and employee health and safety
q Resolve any guest service issues quickly and appropriately
q Oversee an efficient and friendly check in and check out process
q Keep accurate records of lesson assignments including guest and employee attendance
q Make decisions regarding operations that balance the needs of the guest experience, employee experience, and business objectives in a clear, consistent, and transparent manner
Job Qualifications:
Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing Above & Beyond experiences for our guests. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holidays which you will be expected to work. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during the holidays.
We will attempt to offer consecutive days off and accommodate special scheduling requests, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to satisfy all requests. We expect employees to arrive promptly.
