What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Skipton & Associates, Inc.?
Job duties and responsibilities (but not limited to):
• Maintain the General Ledger and all accounting processes of the company.
• Manage the payroll and commissions system of the firm.
• Prepare all financial information in format to be used in the preparation of tax returns.
• Duties include managing the company's profit sharing plan.
• Support the claim management process through timely invoice preparation, receipt of payments and management of clients' accounts.
• Assure compliance with regulations, laws and loan covenants.
• Provide support the companies achievement of tactical and strategic plans.
Qualifications:
• Ability to understand the accounting equation, financial statements and follow closely established process and procedures.
• High degree of accuracy and diligent work ethic.
• Must be detail oriented and able to handle a vast array of accounting related duties with diligence
• Very computer literate, Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.
• Prior experience with QuickBooks.
• Trustworthy with high ethical standards.
