Janitorial Supervisor

Please consider the following openings in the area:

• Ithaca: Janitorial Supervisor, full-time (37 hours per week), Monday-Friday, 4PM-12AM. Pay rate is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (based on prior experience).

Responsibilities:

• You would be responsible for assisting and supervising a team of 4 staff members to ensure completion of work assignments and adherence to all policies, procedures, safety guidelines, standards of conduct.
• You would be responsible for completing checklists, scheduling projects, maintaining inventory of supplies, requesting equipment repairs.
• You would be responsible for properly maintaining and cleaning all assigned facility areas which can include, but not limited to, restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, offices, lobbies, conference rooms, and stairwells.
• You would be responsible for competing tasks that include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning glass, emptying trash, dusting surfaces, polishing fixtures, sanitizing surfaces, stocking and cleaning dispensers.
• You would be asked to work a consistent, regular schedule, supporting your fellow employees as well as the company's customer by creating a clean environment.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bring honesty and integrity to the work that you do.
• Must have the desire to perform detailed cleaning duties.
• 2 years prior cleaning experience required.
• 2 years prior supervising experience required.
• 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• Drivers license and personal vehicle required.
• Must have the physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and have the stamina to be able to stand for long periods, walk, bend, twist, climb stairs, and reach high and low during your shift.
• Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment, and tools to complete assigned tasks.
• Must comply with all proper safety policies and procedures to include COVID19 precautions and wearing of necessary PPE provided by SKJ which can include disposable gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, and steel toe shoes.
• Must be able to read and write in English in order to read work related information and complete checklists.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
