Summary
Support foster families through their foster parenting career as their licensor and case manager.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a closely related field
- Working knowledge of the Washington Administrative Code sections that regulate Washington State foster homes and Child Placing Agencies.
- Demonstrate aptitude for learning about all aspects of child welfare and best practice for case management/licensing procedures.
- General affability and capacity to engage with children, adults, and people from all walks of life

Key Responsibilities
- Recruit & shepherd foster families through the licensing process
- Complete home studies in compliance with DCYF licensing division
- Ensure continued compliance with licensing standards and perform licensing investigations when required
- Facilitate planful, healthy placements of children in foster homes
- Case management of children placed with Skookum families
- Engage in crucial and direct conversations with clients and community partners
- Facilitate connection and relationships between Skookum families and biological families
- Partner with DCYF Staff, GAL/CASA’s and others to promote good outcomes for children.
Hours & Compensation
Full Time |$50,000 - 60,000 starting salary DOE Plus a generous benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, retirement, cell phone stipend, and a professional development budget.
