Foundry Operator

We are looking for a fulltime on-site Foundry Apprentice. Must be authorized to work in the US. Must be 18 years old.

Skuld LLC is currently installing a new facility in Piqua, Ohio. We are an advanced manufacturing and materials with a mission to revolutionize metals manufacturing. We have pioneered the Additive Manufacturing Evaporative Casting (AMEC) technology, achieving high precision tolerances and environmentally friendly processes. Skuld LLC helps reduce component weight, eliminate welding, and minimize machining requirements for metal parts.

Duties:

As a startup we need quick learners who are willing to perform a wide range of tasks. Job may include everything from grinding to pouring metal to 3D printing to welding fabrication of equipment to foam production to materials testing.

Required Qualifications:

• Needs mechanical aptitude.
• Basic math skills to calculate and measure parts accurately.
• Some manufacturing experience.
• Doesn’t mind to get hot and dirty.
• Will be trained to operate machinery but ideally has some experience with grinders, saws, welding, etc.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Knowledge of quality, casting and manufacturing processes, metallurgy, safety, metals/materials testing laboratory skills.
• Experience in 3D Printing (FFF type) and/or CNC machining.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Skills in fabrication of equipment including electrical, air, hydraulics, metal fabrication, and welding.
• Leadership skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
