What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand Manager, Editorial position at Skybound Entertainment?
The Brand Manager, Editorial will play a key role in driving new revenue opportunities for Skybound Editorial (including comics, books and related Kickstarter campaigns). The Brand Manager will be responsible for shaping marketing and sales strategies around new projects, playing a key role in further elevating Skybound’s presence within the book market.
Reports: This position will report to the Director of Brand, Editorial.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain day to day execution of Marketing & Sales strategy for Editorial launches.
- Coordinate sales opportunities with Image Comics and other publishing partners.
- Manage Comics Vault Live variant process (including approvals, curating artists and paperwork) with Skybound Editorial.
- Lead CVL variant process (including approvals, curating artists and paperwork) with third parties to drive streaming revenue.
- Develop relationships with key Book Market retail partners to drive sales and gain further insight on retailer needs.
- Partner with Editorial on developing variant cover and packaging strategies for comics.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience in comic book marketing, communications and/or sales is preferred.
- Candidate must have experience and demonstrated success with talent relations.
- Candidate must have expertise in current comic book market trends, especially in relation to the collectors market and direct market impact.
- Strong strategic thinker, able to articulate goals and present collaborative solutions to achieve them.
- A self-starter who can work independently or with minor supervision in a fast pace, multi-project, and process-oriented environment by balancing time on competing priorities.
