What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver and Parts Distribution Representative position at Skyline Products?
Job Summary:
The Driver and Parts Distribution Representative will be responsible for various tasks throughout Skyline Products, including driving a company vehicle to pick up parts from several locations throughout the Denver Metro Area and deliver them to our Colorado Springs headquarters. This position will be responsible for filling work order requests for stock items and distributing them to production workers, recording the amounts of materials received or distributed, and sorting items on racks, shelves, or bins according to size, type, style, color, or product code.
Essential Functions
- Picks up parts from various vendors between the Denver Metro area and Colorado Springs and surrounding areas as needed
- Loads and unloads parts
- Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
- Drives support vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment
- Fills requisitions, work/job orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line
- Maintains physical inventories, cycle counts
- Marks materials with identifying information
- Reads production schedule, customer order, sales order, shipping order, job order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
- Operate forklift, overhead crane, pallet jacks, and wheel dolly
- Lift, carry, or pull items up to 70 pounds
- Follow all required safety rules, policies, and guidelines
Qualifications:
- 2 years driving and warehouse experience
- General labor skills
- Basic knowledge of operating hand and power tools of various types
- Experience operating other types of equipment and instruments is a plus
- Experience with using an ERP systems
- Must have experience with using computers (Email, Word, Excel)
- May require lifting of up to 70 lbs single person lift or 2 person lift over 70 lbs
- Must meet MVR requirements and qualify as a driver
- Compensation $18-$22
