SkyWater is excited to be partnering with a returning manufacturing client located here in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Our client is looking to add a Plant Manager to their team! This person will be responsible for day to day production and will be accountable for the overall performance of the manufacturing plant. The perfect candidate must be adept at planning a range of operational tasks. The Plant Manager must be an outstanding leader who can identify the most effective methods to conduct operations and inspire the team. The company is expanding, and this individual will play a significant role in driving its ongoing growth.

Responsibilities

• Establish Production and and quality standards
• Develop budgets and cost control initiatives
• Implement improvement methods, plant layouts and procedures to improve upon efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement strategies and provide strategic directives for the plant (LEAN).
• Provide strong leadership to the plant operations team, ensuring alignment with company goals and values.
• Work closely with manufacturing, engineering and Quality in the modification of machines.
• Responsible for the performance management of factory personnel to ensure optimal performance.
  
  

Desired Skills And Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business field
• 5 years of experience as a Plant Manager or in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Metal or Welding experience preferred
• Union experience preferred
• Proven experience leading teams of 50 production personnel
• Understanding of LEAN Manufacturing
