Job Description Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a Supervisor for Patient Access to join our team. This position is responsible for ongoing daily operations of the Patient Access department. The Supervisor ensures that quality standards are continually achieved by the department by training, coaching, evaluating, hiring and motivating all staff, ensuring that adequate staffing is always available to operate the department, assists in establishing and monitoring quality assurance programs. Shift Details: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 10 hours per day, with one day 7 hours Responsibilities: Establishes and reviews standards and work procedures for all Patient Access staff in accordance with established policies and practices of the facility Plans work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate staffing of Patient Access Representatives Interviews, selects, hires, evaluates, Patient Access Representatives Orients, trains, develops, and supervises all day shift housekeeping staff Schedules major project work, assuring that adequate staff and supplies are available Conducts staff quality audits, coaching Assists Department Manager with budgets Reports monthly goals and accomplishments 3 years' experience with hospital or physician revenue cycle experience with patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, claims, follow up, denials, payment variance, payment posting, or customer service and experience in team leadership roles may be substituted in lieu of associate degree.
