The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Application Developer performs application development and support functions in the development, implementation, modification, and support of Human Resources & Finance and Procurement (HRFMS) applications, reports, forms, and interfaces utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations to provide an integrated information system solution to meet the Authority's business needs.
Essential Job Functions
- Providing technical expertise (development and Administration) in ERP systems.
- Design, develop, and deploy Microsoft Dynamics 365, including entities, financials, operations, forms, workflows, reports, and dashboards.
- Generate builds of D365FO and deploy the released build to different environments using Pipelines and Release-Pipelines of Azure DevOps as part of CI/CD (Continuous Integration & Deployment) respectively.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards & visualizations, complex paginated reports using report builder, workspaces, data flows and integration with Excel, SharePoint & SQL Server. Maintain semantic models with data accuracy and integrity.
- Work with functional and technical staff to understand and gather requirements to design and develop modifications to the systems.
- Use of Microsoft Dynamics development and reporting tools to design, develop, and test customizations, integrations, and reports.
- Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and presentations as required.
- Provide as-needed project support for troubleshooting and remediation of technical issues.
- Proactively identify improvement or optimization opportunities based on best practices
- Designs and implements solution Infrastructure to meet business service level agreements
- Design, develop, facilitate and fine tune the complex integrations between D365FO and Dataverse cloud systems & services based on different integration patterns using OData, Custom Services, Data Management
- Use of Microsoft Dynamics development and reporting tools to design, develop, and test customizations, integrations, and reports.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or related field and ten years of hands-on experience in application development that includes:

5 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamic Finance & Operations (F&A) in a technical role.
- Strong understanding of the D365FO technology stack and the peripheral technologies that can be leveraged including, but not limited to Azure, Azure SQL, Power BI, Common Data Service, Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, CoPilot and Azure Machine Learning.
- Combined 5 years of demonstrated experience developing custom applications, interfaces, and reports with Microsoft Dynamics and other ERP software
- 5 Superior Technical proficiency with SQL for reviewing data, troubleshooting, developing user reports, and testing/validating source system data.
- 3 years of proven expertise customizing Microsoft Dynamics. Including 1 years of development experience on Microsoft Dynamic AX and/or D365 F&O with Microsoft Visual Studio.
- 3 years of creation and maintenance of various Application Integration Framework (AIF) Services for Microsoft Dynamics Integration.
- 3 years of proven experience creating and modifying forms with SSRS
- 3 years of proven experience creating and updating custom reports in utilizing these reporting tools: Management Reporter, BI Cubes, SQL Server Report Builder, and other tools.
- 3 years of technical experience with .NET C#, X or other OOP programming language
- Experience in reviewing architectural structures, identification of architectural issues and demonstrated ability to perform analysis and recommend improving application development design and architecture.
- Technical functional knowledge in two more of the following areas: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
- Must have strong writing skills and the ability to create technical design documents, unit test scripts, etc.
- Experience in the development and implementation of SDLC methodologies and best practices.
- Must be able to understand business functions such as accounting, revenue, budget, disbursement, Procurement, and HR Management.
- Detailed understanding of D365FO processes and best practices with knowledge of recommended ISVs and how to include them in project implementations.
