In this role, you will manage essential clerical functions including processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining accurate financial databases to ensure the organization's financial healthJob Description:Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactionsVerifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databasesPrepares invoices, checks, account statements, reports and other records and reviews them for accuracyReconciles bank statementsPrepares payroll and enters into online system, and reconciles all documentationMonitors accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to dateReconciles and recommends resolution for report discrepancies and problemsCoordinates and prepares pertinent information for external accounting firm and auditorsCodes data for input to QuickBooks according to proceduresAttention to detail, analytically minded, problem solving and time management characteristics are used with every task associated with this job.Financial analysis: gross profit analysis and variance analysis reportsPayroll analysis: weekly & monthly hours reports evaluating validity of employees' hours and employment qualificationBudgeting: cost reports and accruals assisting clients' budgeting forecastingPayroll processing and billing: processing weekly payroll and invoicingAccount receivable: collections and reconciling aging statementsAccount Payable: post company's bills, checks and credit card statements in QuickBooks and reconcile it with bank's files Audit: worker's compensation insurance codes and costsTechnical Proficiency: (Advanced Knowledge of the following)Microsoft Excel pivot tableMicrosoft Excel formula: VLOOKUP, if, is, index, matchFamiliarity with modern accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP or SageRequired SkillsAttention to Detail: Exceptional ability to identify errors in large datasets to ensure 100% accuracy in financial reporting.Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to explain financial data clearly to stakeholders.Organization: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight non-negotiable deadlines.Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Education and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field or equivalent professional experience2 years of experience in a finance related functionEmployment Type: Full TimeSalary: $26 - $39 HourlyBonus/Commission: No
