We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. - Field work associated with environmental investigations and sampling of various media (i.e., soil, groundwater, sediment)
- Oversee subcontractors for remediation and investigation activities
- Preparation of health and safety plans, work plans, and field equipment
- Maintain and prepare soil boring logs, low flow logs, and other field documentation, accurate field notes and calibration of equipment
- Ensure work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with company safety rules and applicable regulatory, industry, and other pertinent standards.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Geological/Environmental Engineering or Sciences
- Around 5 years of related work experience
- History of conducting site investigations and remediation related to soil, groundwater, soil vapor, indoor air, and sediment sampling
- Understands environmental due diligence (Environmental Site Assessments) with knowledge of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Remediation Standard Regulations, experience with programs in nearby states and emerging contaminants a plus
- Balances assignments; strong organizational skills
- Experience in preparation of reports that demonstrate technical knowledge
- Complete tasks with minimal supervision and direction – self-starter
- Possess or have completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and 8-hour refresher training
- Experience with ArcGIS or AutoCAD software is a plus
