Lawn Fertilizer Technician

Do you love the outdoors and have a great eye for detail? Are you someone with a great work ethic? We are searching for a Lawn Fertilizer Technician to join the team of a local company who maintains and creates beautiful outdoor spaces. They provide comprehensive landscape services to businesses and residences, including lawn and tree maintenance. Starting pay is $20/hr. After probation period, pay increases to $25/hr with the potential of another pay increase once you have obtained an applicator license. Hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 am-5 pm, with an occasional Saturday, and paid lunches! Health insurance and year-end bonuses are offered!

Lawn Fertilizer Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides to residential and commercial lawns and landscapes using standard industry application equipment
• Calculate proper application rate and mixes chemicals accordingly
• Administers correct handling, transporting, storage, and disposal procedures for chemicals
• Assist the arborist side of the company during slower times
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, maintaining energy and pace along with the team
• Drive company vehicle to various client locations and ensure proper storage of equipment during transport

Lawn Fertilizer Technician Requirements and Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license, car insurance, and decent driving record
• Willingness to take required test to obtain application license at company’s cost to further career
• Ability to lift upwards of 50 pounds and bend, lift, and stand for extended periods
• Speed and quality of work is necessary
• Must have at least 3 months of fertilizing experience
• Reliable and self-motivated
