Job Summary
The Classroom Floater serves as a co-pilot to the Teacher and Teacher Assistant. They are in charge of keeping bulletin boards up to date, training all new assistants, and assisting with certain aspects of the lesson plan.
Responsibilities:
- Being a floater, you will be floating around different classrooms assisting Teachers & Teacher Assistants as required. Also, will gain experience with all the age groups.
- Must be able to relate well to parents, children, and other staff members.
- Responsible for completing the chores relevant to cleaning and laundry and adhering to the hygiene standards.
- Should be able to lift children multiple times, and sit on the floor for feeding them.
- Should be flexible to work around the school timings, 6:30-7:30 PM, Mon-Fri.
Qualifications and Skills:
- As an entry-level position, the ideal candidate for this position will have a High School Diploma or GED, flexibility for scheduling purposes, great written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for and helping children unlock their true potential. Experience at a licensed childcare center is preferred but not required. We will train the right person.
- Must communicate effectively, have an energetic personality, and be functionally literate in English.
- Must have good attendance, possess organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, training sessions, and academy events as requested.
