Financial Analyst - Contract TO HIRE
Job Summary:
This role reports to the Grant Administrator to perform a variety of financial transaction, monitoring, and analysis. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other departments, while modeling and utilizing excellent project management and critical thinking skills to continuously improve service delivery. The Financial Analyst is expected to have strong analytical and financial skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent is responsible for executing the duties and responsibilities listed below and all other duties as assigned. Essential Duties % of Time is as follows:
• Conducts the financial transactions for a non-profit organization, including payroll, bank reconciliation, 990 prep, and financial reporting. If applicable, remediate issues or recommendations identified by external audits. 25%
• Prepares and processes entries and forms related to accounts receivable, revenue and expense management. Creates and analyzes Division-level financial transactions, projections, and reports. 15%
• Identifies appropriate fund sources and funding availability for transactions. Monitors transactions for compliance with funding source requirements. 15%
• Processes Procurement Card and expense report transactions. Validate transactions are compliant with Policy, budget availability, and financial stewardship. Develop reporting tools to trend and analyze expenses. 10%
• Assists and participates in the annual budget process for a non-profit; monitors budget to actual balances. 10%
• Develops performance measures and tracking tools for new and existing initiatives and programs; ensure that program data is captured, reported, and analyzed accurately to track performance. 10%
• Prepares grant budgets, reports, expense reimbursement, and monitor all grant transactions for eligibility. 5%
• Other duties as assigned. 10%
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university
Experience:
• At least three (3) years of experience in an accounting or finance position
Preferences:
• CPA is preferred, but not required

• Strong computer and data analytic skills including QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Outlook, Microsoft Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint Work Environment:
• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers and copiers.
Office Environment Physical Demands:
• This role is a standard office role which requires remaining stationary for long periods of time. At times files or boxes must be transported weighing up to 15lbs.
