Concrete Rebar Worker

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Concrete Rebar Worker to join our team in Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and placing steel reinforcing bars (rebar) and mesh in concrete forms to strengthen structures such as bridges, highways, foundations, and precast products. You will work closely with other construction professionals to ensure accuracy and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Cut, bend, and place rebar using hand and power tools.
• Tie rebar together using wire and pliers.
• Position rebar correctly in concrete forms before pouring.
• Secure rebar to structural frameworks using tools and rigging.
• Assist in pouring and finishing concrete as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with rebar in a construction or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read construction blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in using rebar tools such as cutters, benders, and tiers.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in precast concrete manufacturing.
• Certification in construction safety or related training.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
