Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the oral health management of patients, embodying a team-oriented spirit.
- Verify patient identities prior to treatment and accurately document this in the medical records.
- Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments for new and returning patients.
- Review medical histories and deliver dental services in alignment with established best practices.
- Provide dental assistance as instructed by the supervising dentist.
- Educate patients and their families on effective oral health practices, including proper brushing and flossing techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services rendered in patient charts.
- Travel daily to various school sites to provide care.
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in dental hygiene, preferably working with children.
- Reliable transportation and valid State ID.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with both children and adults.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to carry up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs in locations without elevators.
- Current CPR (BLS) certification.
- Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- Must hold an active RDH license.
- Previous experience in pediatric dental settings is highly beneficial.
